ACE’s product group combines safe deceleration of moving loads with emergency braking. The safety shock absorbers, profile dampers, and clamping elements offer excellent protection and can be integrated easily into existing construction designs. Vibration-Isolating Pads

As a cheaper alternative to the standard shock absorber, Safety shock absorbers are the tried and tested low cost metrhod of preventing those occasional emergency stops. Designed for occasional use, they primarily serve as reliable, effective protection in emergency stopping for construction designs.

The maintenance-free and ready-to-install machine elements are characterised in every respect by the well-known high ACE quality and maximum energy absorption of up to 480,000 Nm/Cycle. This means, in the product-family SCS33 up to SCS64 a service life of up to 1,000 full load emergency cycles is achieved. Safety shock absorbers from ACE are available in a large choice with strokes of 23 mm to 1,200 mm, and the arrangement of orifice pattern can be calculated and produced specifically to the customer”s requirementr and depending on the application.

Safety Dampers

The extremely successful Safety Dampers series from ACE are suitable for emergency stop, as overrun protection or as end stop dampers.

So the TUBUS Profile Dampers, which are available in different variants, are not only suitable for absolute emergencies. They are also ideal for use in heavy duty or crane systems, for example, when masses do not need to be instantly decelerated or when working under extreme conditions. They are cost-effective, feature small, lightweight designs, and can be considered as an alternative to hydraulic end-position damping.

The TUBUS TI and the ACE crash dampers, on the other hand, are irreversible one-time dampers that protect your valuable machinery and equipment from costly failures in an absolute emergency.

For even more protection: The profile dampers from the TC range of the ACE TUBUS-Series can also be used as safety dampers.

Crash Dampers
Single-use, yet extremely useful protection: With its crash dampers, ACE offers engineers a single-use solution as a high-efficiency plant safety option.

Clamping Elements

Clamping elements from the LOCKED series also serve the purpose of safety. These ACE products clamp and decelerate loads and are suitable for perfectly controlled holding, both linear and rotary, in all processes.

Alongside ACE LOCKED solutions for conventional rail, rod or rotation clamping, special clamps with safety function for Z-axes, which reliably help secure axes with a gravitational load, are available in the LOCKED LZ-P series. The latter solution is available for both pneumatic operation and as an electric version. Whether Z-axes, linear guide, rod or rotation clamping, the choice is (typical of ACE) as large as the performance capacity of the products, which are compatible with the solutions of all standard manufacturers.

LOCKED PL
Always on the safe side: LOCKED PL process clamping elements clamp directly onto the clear area of guide rails on linear modules with forces of up to 10,000 N.

LOCKED LZ-P
Innovative and BG certified: The pneumatic clamping elements LOCKED LZ-P have been specially designed for safe, reliable clamping on the vertical or Z-axes.

LOCKED PLK
Small can clamp perfectly too: The LOCKED-Family PLK clamping elements are more compact than the PL components.

LOCKED PN
Immediate clamping in case of loss of pneumatics: Suitable for rods with diameters of 20 mm to 40 mm, the clamping elements LOCKED PN absorb the forces axially and rotationally.

LOCKED SL
Always on the safe side: The safety clamping elements LOCKED SL clamp and brake directly on the clear area of guide rails on linear modules with forces of up to 10,000 N.

LOCKED PRK
Compact and safe: when space becomes restricted, the compact LOCKED PRK clamping elements come into their own.

LOCKED SLK
Small can clamp perfectly too: The LOCKED-Family SLK clamping elements are more compact than the SL range.

LOCKED R
Direct clamping on the shaft: Rotation motions are prevented by the ACE models LOCKED R.

Viscoelastic Shock Absorbers

This series is the interesting addition to ACE’s security portfolio. Simple and compact in design, durable and maintenance-free in operation, these dampers are effective alternatives to existing emergency stop solutions.
Easy to install and also easy to integrate into existing constructions, the individual types of viscoelastic shock absorbers from ACE perfectly meet many of today’s requirements for safety solutions, especially in large applications. They offer a wide range of possible energy absorption and are also ideally equipped for many applications with the corresponding stroke lengths. After installation, this ensures lasting peace and quiet as well as perfect protection. ACE also offers customized individual solutions especially for this damper series.
